The Ins And Outs Of Ice Vending

Thaw Out Frozen Profits With Ice Vending Sales

For customers, drive-up ice vending is popular due to its convenience. According to Ben Gaskill, director of sales with Everest Ice and Water Systems, the profit center attracts all types of customers, and everyone who uses the ice vending center will drive up to the machine in vehicles. These are vehicles that potentially may need washing.

But, this relationship can work in reverse as well. Carwashes typically have a built-in customer base, and these dedicated customers can help the ice vending profit center get off to a fast start. Gaskill explains, “As time goes on and news of the new machine spreads, it will pull ice customers to the carwash owner’s property that will patronize the wash. It’s really a great relationship and a natural fit.”

Everest Ice And Water Systems Partners With SandenVendo America

SandenVendo America Adds Patented Ice Vending Machine To Their List Of Offerings

Everest Ice and Water Systems has partnered with Dallas-based vending machine manufacturer, SandenVendo America. SandenVendo America produces and distributes world-class convenience equipment to serve consumers-on-the-go. With this new partnership, SandenVendo America will now offer their customers a uniquely designed ice and water vending machine using Everest’s patented dispensing technology.

“We’ve been researching ice vending for a number of years, but we were never really impressed with the technology out there. However when we found Everest, we were blown away by the design,” said Mike Weisser, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at SandenVendo America.

“The issue with most ice vending machines is the maintenance. Ice jams are common to these machines. Everest however has designed a machine that eliminates that issue.”

Convenience Store Industry Warms Up To Ice Vending

Everest And Sanden Vendo America Share The Benefits Of Ice Vending To Current Ice Distributors

Everest Ice and Water Systems partnered with Dallas-based vending machine company Sanden Vendo America for the National Association of Convenience Stores Convention to showcase the Everest VX Series Ice Vending machine to convenience and fuel retailers October 17-20 in Chicago, Illinois. Throughout the Trade Show, Share the benefits current ice distributors can reap when they cut out the middleman and become their own ice suppliers.

“This was one of our busiest shows in memory!” said National Sales Director at Everest Ice and Water Systems, Ben Gaskill.

Using a custom built calculator for current ice distributors, visitors at the Trade Show learned how much money they could save by becoming their own ice supplier with an ice vending machine. In addition to seeing their potential savings, Trade Show visitors were also able to witness the simplicity of ice vending with  displayed  Everest machine.  The Sanden Vendo and Everest booth displayed an Everest VX Series Ice Vending machine to show off its  patented VersaVend technology.

“One of the top concerns retail owners have about investing in ice vending is how often they will have to deal with jams,” explained Gaskill. “VersaVend’s rotating barrel eliminates any chances of a jam. And since VersaVend is one moving part that collects, agitates, and distributes the ice,  retail owners can be assured that they won’t be inconvenienced by parts breaking down and disrupting their business as they would be with a more complicated machine.”

About Everest: Everest Ice and Water Vending has patented their VersaVend technology, a revolutionary rotating barrel that both collects and agitates ice, eliminating the need for complicated agitators and auger systems used by the rest of the ice vending industry. While other machines require multiple parts to achieve these functions, Everest’s VersaVend does it all with just one. Include our 24/7 support line and our remote machine manager, and you’ll understand why Everest is the right choice for your Ice and Water Vending business.
